Jem and the Holograms

It's a little before my time like Care Bears, Strawberry Shortcake, Rainbow Brite, and G.I. Joe (I was born in the late 80s so I'm more familiar with Transformers, Duck Tales, Power Rangers, etc. that occurred in the 90s).
It's extremely cheesy and dated, but somehow addictive and some episodes are quite relevant in regards to their message and topics; it's worth a shot watching if you like old school cartoons and musicals.

And yes, I've overheard the news of it being made into a live-action movie.

My 2-cents about it: I don't approve of it being made into a live action movie because it's a show of the 80s, with it's own unique music and fashion that's perfect for the decade it was made in.  Redoing it to make it relatable to today's youth would be like making it into a Hanna Montana/battle of the bands/American Idol film.  If this is going to be live action, then I can foresee Thunder-Cats and Captain Planet live action films sometime in the near future (and I'm skeptical of those being any good after what has been done to Transformers and G.I.Joe).  Hollywood just needs to get a little bit more imaginative and lay off our childhood gems is pretty much what it all boils down to.
