Axis Powers Hetalia by FrauV8 Axis Powers Hetalia by FrauV8
Originally, this was suppose to be a wallpaper, but after placing the three separate drawing together as one pic, it started to look more like a manga cover. XD

I plan on coloring each character separately - that way I can show off the "uniqueness" of each one.

I have each country's flag in the background, two in regard to WW2.

Ja, I know there's a swastika - so what.
It doesn't make me Nazi or anything, and I don't want to hear any complaints about it.

Other than that, I hope you like what I've done.
Feel free to leave your comments - let me know what you think! :D

Thanks. :)
Short hair slick back is one of the trickiest hair styles to draw because the exposed hairline affects how the face is drawn - the forehead looks larger, and the sideburns are more prominent.

Lot's of Practice and Patience is the trick - and I do mean lot's and lot's of it. :worker:
I've been drawing since the age of 2, and I seen a lot of my Classmates drop out of Art and Graphic Design classes in College because they don't have the patience nor put the time and effort in their Work - so believe me when I say that it can take Years to develop your skills as an Artist and/or Designer.
A lot of people think Art is instantaneous because it's a visual field, but they fail to realize all the hard work behind the scenes in the minds of the Artists - this includes the Artist taking lots of Art and/or Design classes, learning how to use different Mediums (ink, paint, watercolor, etc.) and eventually Software like Photoshop and Illustrator, and many other things.

I occasionally draw in faint guidelines to keep my hairlines, eyes, noses, and mouths in proportion to the whole head.
Also take your time observing Photos of actual Men with slicked-back hair (as from people, there's many other important things to keep in mind like animals, plants, and current Fashion Trends), and take 'Metal Notes' that way you have a 'Mental Book of Reference' that you can just think up whenever you have to draw; if you can't memorize details well, then either save these images in a flash drive or print them out and store them in in assigned folders/binders for future reference.

I hope this helps you out for your future attempts at drawing stuff. :)

In my case, I'm really good making Portraits of people (as you can see in most of my Gallery) and drawing Flowers, but Animals... meh. :XD:
I can draw animals, but I just have to do lots of research, collect reference pics, and work really hard to meet the standards of those who draw them all the time.
And that's what it all boils down to - work hard and you'll reap whatever you sow in the end. :D

Ja... but it wasn't meant to be...
The combined pic was going to be too small for a wallpaper :(
(I had made an "attempt" wallpaper - I'll have it posted in my Scraps eventually).

But after making Allies versions, maybe I'll be able to make a wallpaper with both the Allies and Axis Powers on it. :)

I don't really see anything wrong with using the swastika so long if you're portraying them as the Axis Powers (and you are here). I'm not sure how I feel about the light-heartedness of it, but the picture is nicely done. I like the poses of the characters.
