APH: EngGer - German Victory by FrauV8 APH: EngGer - German Victory by FrauV8

Yep... Germany sure did kicked 'Iggy A$$' as France said to do in a Text Message - which was ordered by America. :XD:

(I still can't wrap my mind around the fact that I actually used the same numbers as the number of Goals scored for each team in the Text Messages - I made the previous page the night before the match! :XD: )

And poor England is crying tears of defeat, and crying about the 'Fluke Goal' after drinking the Beer Germany treated him (you probably noticed that the 1 is crossed out with a 2 since that was really a Goal, but the Referee wasn't 100% sure from his position on the Field and you can't say that it's a Goal unless you're absolutely sure; then again, you can always check the cameras but Soccer/Football is somewhat considered to be a more refined and traditional sport :dead: ).

But it probably still wouldn't matter - the German team is fresh and young compared to England's team (though the English team is more experienced with older players - that's why they had a 54% chance of winning the match).

Anyhow, congrats to the Deutsche Team. :D

I watched that match live in Manila before I went to sleep.

Since 1966, Iggy won the championship against him but years later, Doitsu made his revenge on him.

Germany might be one of my fav characters, but his team is really great!!!

Ah, my lovely team won <3333
But I do have to say, incredibly bad decision from the ref. That was about a foot inside the line. IDD

But yay! Mueller, Podolski and Klose <3 not to mention Lahm! why does no one notice him D8 Oezil wasn't even that special -w-

I admit, Germany was the better team than England in that match. They are good at attacking and defense, and England is lack of a counter-defense strategy and new young talented players.
But probably the match will be intense if Lampard score that goal and Germany and England would felt pressured. But the stupid refs called that goal off!!!! That was a blow on team morale for England, so be glad Germany, that you guys had beaten a team so badly which already lost in terms of team spirit and skills.:(
Just be prepared for Argentina, they won't be easily defeated. And I go for the Argentines to win that match.

By the way, I also hate Team Italy with a passion. So no love for Veneziano and Romano. :P

Ja, I heard about that... if that was the case, 44 years is long time to even out things.

But the next time they do meet, they're out for blood. :XD:

Ja... a little part of me was a bit sorry for England... :(
But his Defense didn't do too great and Germany took advantage of that (not to mention most of Germany's players are young compared to England's team), so the better team won the match. :)

And the Match was a really good one, and in the end that's all that really matters. :D

in germany we like to say it was revenge for 1966 where england had a similar situation but the ball did not cross the line...the not goal counted as one and so england won 3:2
...
there is fairness even when one has to wait 40 years for it^^
...it was a good game nevertheless^^

Ja... I overheard about that incident during the Match...
44 years is quite a bit of a long time to wait to clear things up.

But next time they play, it probably wouldn't be pretty with that in the English Team's mind...

Germany sure deserved their win. Our defence was the most appalling thing I've ever witnessed in my life and they sure took advantage of that. -sigh- If they're up against Argentina next I think they should win, I heard Argentina's defence isn't so good. c:

I thought I was going to have a heart attack during that match even though I knew we were going to lose, although after those 'two' goals where England actually looked passionate I thought we might just win. But no. Not at all. xD
I wonder, had that goal counted, whether the result would have been different... the team may have had some more drive, maybe. -shrug-

Perhaps... the English Team was already pretty fired up with the Goal disregarded, but still their Defense wasn't that great. :X
Pretty much the same thing in the USA/Ghana Match - both Mother and Daughter (or should I say 'Brother' :XD: ) Countries suffered defeat. :(
Then again, I've heard that the dismissed Goal was a bit of a Compensation to Germany for what happened in 1966, so that's a long time to set things 'Even' between the two teams.

But anyway, I'm happy that one of my Favorite Teams won and that the Match was a good one. :D

Well, looking at the England v Germany history anyway I expected Germany to win out of sheer magical fate. England won their last game against Germany and Germany won the one before that and England the one before that and so on. Neither team ever wins twice in a row. xD
So, if Germany had lost it would have ruined the specialness of their rivalry. It was an exciting match though, but now most of my favourite teams are out I'll retreat back into my 'I absolutely hate football' phase. xDDD

But yeah, I think a lot of fans just gave up. At 2-0 my dad went to go sleep in the garden and then at 4-1 he gave up entirely and put the cricket on. We won that, at least. xD
It is just a game at the end of the day, I think the English just get more riled up about it because our players are paid so much and don't work hard enough. :/ Kinda embodies everything that's wrong with the country, actually. Haha.

Well, aside from Germany, I still have Netherlands and Spain from my list of favorites for this World Cup (Japan just lost to Paraguay, England lost to Germany, and USA lost to Ghana). :)

But I'm a bit shaken with 4 South American teams being in the Final 8, and I'll be really upset if Brazil wins again. :X

I wouldn't mind Ghana winning since it's the 1st African World Cup, and it would be nice if Netherlands or Spain (Paraguay as well) wins it because they never won a World Cup before. :)
As for Germany, it'll be the first World Cup as an united country if he won (3 October 1990 was when Germany was officially unified; the World Cup took place in June/July so Germany was still divided).

My brother seems to think that Holland are unbeatable this year, so I'm kinda hoping they win, or Germany. I don't mind if Ghana win either. I haven't been keeping up with it as much as I should, all I know is that Brasil are out and Argentina, unless that one was a dream I had, I'm not sure. x

I was in the stadion during the match for public viewing with a huge monitor and the atmosphere was cool, I was in München (Munich).
One single English man held his flag proud in the wind against thousands of german fans XD I liked that guy.
But when it was 3:1 he took a german flag and waved it XD

Hey it´s just sports, I love England always, even when they had defeated us^^

It was dillema to me, 'cause I loved both teams... geez, I felt so sad for Iggy, because the second goal xD
My friends at school were like: WTF? It WAS a goal! But never mind, they would have lost either way. Yay, go Germany!
I am not sure, if we will win against Agentina

Same here - but I kinda like Germany more. :XD:

I was really sad when they lost the chance to win the World Cup in 2006 to Italy because it would of been the first time Germany won as a whole country since the fall of the Berlin Wall (I really don't like Italy's Team - they can play dirty with fake Fouls :shakefist: [which one of my Friends call 'Pulling an Italy' :XD: ]; I was also hoping for a Germany/France Match at that time).

But I'm hopeful that this time they could win it - as well as for Netherlands, Spain, or Japan since USA and England lost.
(France was a joke this time around, and I'm glad Italy's out :XD: )

As for that Goal... it should of counted because it did slightly cross the line based from Camera View.
But I've heard about the 1966 England Versus West Germany World Cup Championship Match - England was given a Goal in a similar situation except the Ball never crossed the line and won the World Cup 3-2 because of it.
So the disputed Goal wasn't counted to compensate for the mistake made over 40 years ago - so now the teams are 'Even' though England will most likely hold that Goal against Germany the next time they meet.

And I heard that Argentina's Defense isn't the best, so Germany might take advantage of that... but who knows?

Not the first time, but the second ^^! Germany won on year '90, when I am not wrong. At that time, Gilbert and Ludwig were already together again ;), but I am not very sure about it.

Yes, I was very angry too! I mean, we were so close xD
I don't like the italian team either, maybe because this match? But I kinda feel sorry for them =(
France did really bad this year -.-, I cheered for them in 2006 ^^

yes, I also want Japan and Spain to win, I am not very sure about the other countrys =) but Japan and Germany are now my favourite =)

True... East and West were united with the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, but the World Cup is usually in June/July and they weren't officially united as one country yet until 3 October 1990; so it was only West that won the World Cup in 1990.

*sigh* Poor Japan lost against Paraguay in Penalty Kicks (5-3). :cries:
But Spain won against Portugal 1-0. :w00t:
