England/Arthur: Poor Chap... I'm going to miss the little guy...
Spain/Antonio: NOOOO~
Germany/Ludwig: *Sigh*
As for Prussia/Gilbert and Netherlands/?... it's pretty obvious what they're thinking/saying. Except they can't eat Paul since he's going to be cremated - or so they say; there's no say of where Paul's remains will be placed either, but the sea will be a perfect place.

Ja... my brother told me that Paul the Octopus just died when I got back home from College... And he wanted me to draw this pic in memory of the little guy.
The octopus died at a ripe old age of 2 years and 6 months - which is about right for a Common Octopus like Paul. (Common Octopi don't live longer than 2-3 years)
Of course, there'll be a few people out there rejoicing because of the World Cup this year. (Remember how Germans and Dutchmen wanted to eat Paul so much that Spain offered to protect the little squishy guy just a few months ago?
Paul the Octopus was a gift from England to Germany since Germany didn't really have octopi for his aquarium. (yes - Paul was born a Brit but raised as a German)
You can read the Wikipedia article on him yourself: [link]
As for a replacement... I hadn't heard any new regarding that; I don't know if England will be willing to give up another magical cephalopod so easily - he might just keep it to himself. (then again, Paul was one of thousands of octopi that England hatched and gave away as a tiny baby so he had no idea Paul would become so famous; also, Germany made Paul 'psychic' just for kicks)
To be honest, I'm lucky that squid is finally dead. All the hubbub about Paul was getting on my nerves - badly. And I'm really great it's FINALLY over. I shall still facepalm at the wikipedia article though. He was just a squid for Pete's sake. A squid .
Lolz... it's not so much of a big deal here in the States because people forgot who Paul was as soon as the World Cup ended; when his death was announced in the news, they were like "Who?" Canada Moment
But come on... how can one hate such a cute little creature? He was only made 'psychic' for kicks (ha, ha, Football/Soccer pun but Germany only trained Paul just for fun), but I guess Paul just brought out the little kid inside of everyone and that's what made the world crazy for the critter. Unless you have a heart made of stone.
-shrugs- There are people and animals out there who/which I dislike even more than Paul (SCREW YOU LENA MEYER-LANDRUT, SCREW YOUUUU), but still, he's one of the most unnecessary things humans "created", imo.
Yep - Americans in general have short attention spans and care only about things that benefit themselves in the short-term. (like globalization - at first, the businesses thought it'd make them lots of money to ship production and services to countries like China [and it still does - only for the people in charge of businesses], but in the long run it made the US trade-debt with China and other emerging countries worse [and not to mention no jobs for working Americans - here in California where new technology is often invented and made, the unemployment rate is almost 13% because all the jobs has gone overseas])
And that's true - there's a lot more things to dislike besides oracle octopi like Justin Beiber, Taylor Swift, Jonas Brothers, and similar Teen-Pop crap. (on the other hand, Lady Gaga is awesome)
RIP Paul.
Poor Paul.
Hope he has a nice life in that ocean in the heavens above ;_;
To be honest, though, I was pissed when Spain beat Germany...... Oh well.
