*Germany: What the F- is that Catholic crap doing in Paul's tank?!

*Prussia: Ach, Mein Gott... maybe I shouldn't have let Spain in the tank...

---

I'm suppose to be working on my Graphic Design and Digital Illustration assignments due Monday & Tuesday! :dead:
Oh well... I'll get it done by the skin of my teeth...

Anyway, as said by a friend who provided me a link to a news article, it turns out Paul has a successor - Paul II. :XD:
It looks like Germany is going to start a Paul Dynasty - except it's not confirmed if Paul II is going to be an 'Oracle Octopus' like his predecessor, plus he'll be dead before the next World Cup happens in 2014 (Common Octopi don't live longer than 2-3 years).
And Paul II is French-born, not English-born like the last Paul. :XD:

Just looking at the name 'Paul II' strangely made me think of the last Pope John-Paul II, so I couldn't help putting in a Pope hat, plus some 'offerings' from Spain/Antonio due to the last Paul's prediction regarding his 1st victory in the 2010 World Cup (crazy Catholics and their insane amount of saints :XD: ).
Obviously I'm not Catholic, but a few of my relatives on my mother's side are, and seriously - there's like an infinite number of saints.
And Germany/Ludwig and his brother Prussia/Gilbert aren't too pleased about it (they lost to Spain/Antonio, plus Germany is a Protestant country [think Martin Luther]).

Anyway, this [hopefully] concludes the 'Paul Saga'.

Feel free to comment as always. :)

Thanks. :)
I'm also glad that you weren't offended; I wasn't trying to be offensive, and people sometimes just freak out whenever I mention stuff - even if it's true.

I'm sure he's bigger since then - and he's French (not English like the last Paul), so he's going to be just as perverted like Francis the next time I plan on drawing him (assuming he doesn't die anytime soon). :XD:

Correction: Germany is not a protestant country. It depends on the region your are going to:
In northern Germany, protestantism is very dominant, while in Bavaria or the Rhineland, catholicism is dominant. And in some memberstates, like Hassia, one village might be mainly catholic, while the next one is protestant. In Eastern Germany, Communism has virtually wiped-out religiousity. So, it's not possible to declare Germany as protestant, catholic or belonging to any other religion.

That may be true (I'm very well aware that the current Pope of the Catholic Church is German unlike most of his predecessors), but I'm relying mainly on the general image of Germany portrayed in many historical accounts I've read so far - they predominantly say Germany is generally Protestant because of Martin Luther and his Reformation, the many English-German alliances during the reign of the Tudors to rid of the Catholic policies since Henry VIII set England apart from the Catholic Church, and the sorts.
Even in the English-dubbed version of Hetalia, Germany/Ludwig is depicted as Protestant when he made a comment regarding the Italian Brothers being Catholic.
In same comparison, America is said to be a Protestant country in general because it had branched out of England with Puritan and Amish beliefs, but depending in various communities just like in Germany, some parts are more Catholic, while other parts have forms Protestantism (ie. Lutheran, Baptist, Methodist, Fundamentalist, etc.), other religions (ie. Islam, Hinduism, Judaism, etc.), non-dominant organizations, or are even Atheist.

I'm not not declaring any country or anybody being solely being one thing or another - I'm just merely using the stereotype and general depiction given to a country based on historical accounts and/or global perspectives; I know that everyone, including countries as a whole, are given stereotypes to simplify things according to the view of others in the world based on what (little) they know and hear about.
However, just because they are said to have and are portrayed with a particular stereotype, only about 80-85% actually fit within their 'assigned' stereotype - the other 15-20% have degrees of it or don't express it at all (ie. I'm sure you know most of the world think that Europeans, especially those in Germanic countries, in general have blond hair; but in reality, just like in most countries of the world, dark hair is more dominant).

And for that reason, you should be very careful with stereotypes. If you start to think in stereotype, it migh lead to prejudices.
